Role Description
This is a casual/part-time, on-site role for a Dance Instructor located in Edmonton, AB. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for planning and conducting engaging, age-appropriate dance classes for students of various skill levels. This role includes developing lesson plans, providing constructive feedback, preparing choreography for performances, and fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to enhance students’ confidence and skills. Additionally, the instructor will help students understand musicality and express their creativity through movement.
Qualifications
Expertise in Dance Instruction, Dance Education, and Teaching
Strong proficiency in a diverse range of dance styles and disciplines
Understanding of age-appropriate music to enhance dance instruction and choreography
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring environment for young dancers
Experience working with children and fostering developmental growth is an asset
Relevant certifications or degrees in Dance, Performing Arts, or Education are preferred

Pay
$20-$40/hour - based on experience.

The first impression for new families! The Happiness Hero is a friendly people-person that is not afraid of talking on the phone and meeting new people. The Happiness Hero will work with the Executive Director to ensure that current and new students alike are feeling welcomed as well as aware of all we have to offer.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Have direct interaction (through phone, email, in-person) with current and potential students and their families
Continuously update and improve the studio welcome and onboarding packets
Executing the full enrollment and onboarding processes for new families,
Engage in daily administrative and customer service tasks (i.e., managing trials, returning phone calls, etc.)
Support the studio owner and other administrative staff in large projects and tasks
Following up unpaid invoices with clients
Email management
Inputting data,
And more!
Candidates will have:
A passion for helping others
An understanding of dance or arts-related education programing
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Be able to work independently and with limited supervision
Be available to work remotely and independently
Be available for in-person meetings and events (as needed)
Have reliable internet access
Candidate should have a basic understanding of the GSuite (Google Docs, Forms, Sheets, etc)
Job Types: Casual, Part-time
Part-time hours: 5 - 15 per week

This job can mostly be done remotely and at any hours of the day! Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the studio's online media presence, primarily on Facebook and Instagram,
Designing and preparing content that is relevant and appropriate to the studio brand,
Engaging current and potential dance families online, and
Preparing and scheduling promotions for upcoming events and sessions.
Experience with Canva, Facebook Ads, and dance are ideal, but we are willing to train the right individual.
